Opportunity Details
As Director of Finance you’re the head of finance operations for the company and you will lead an established team and oversee all aspects of accounting, reporting, FP&A, budgeting. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including sales and operational leaders providing critical insights, advice and analysis to support strategic decision-making. This role requires strong relationship building, excellent communication skills and an understanding of technical accounting standards, particularly revenue recognition.
Key responsibilities and oversight:
- Review period end corporate reporting and financial statements
- Ensure a smooth and efficient month end close process
- Manage, coach and supervise a team of finance professionals
- Technical review of contracts and accounting memos to assess impact under IFRS
- Oversee the provision of in-depth analysis for senior management/board level review
- Lead forecasting process on a quarterly basis
- Support business case analysis required for evaluation of initiatives and strategic projects
- Lead post acquisition integration process
- Operate as a finance advisor to sales teams supporting deals and transaction activity
- Execute ad hoc initiatives/special projects required by the CFO & Managing Director
The Company is offering a competitive compensation package including an attractive base salary and annual performance bonus with strong upside potential. Full remuneration details will be disclosed to all candidates under consideration.
Qualifications:
- CPA designation is required, candidates that qualified at a major public accounting firm preferred
- 6+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles
- 2+ years in a leadership role with a proven ability to drive change
- Strong technical accounting knowledge, particularly in revenue recognition principles under IFRS or USGAAP.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate findings effectively.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.
- Proactive problem solver with the ability to identify issues and implement solutions in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communicator and collaborator, capable of building strong relationships across departments.
