We are recruiting on behalf of a leader in their high-growth sector, with a fully remote working arrangement. They are currently seeking a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) with relevant industry experience in a leadership role, overseeing the corporate and/or accounting operations functions.

Key responsibilities and oversight:
• Lead and manage the accounting department and financial operations of the company
• Oversee and direct accounting operations including AP, Treasury, and GL management
• Manage accounting systems, processes and best practices and maintaining overall compliance
• Lead the month-end close process including a detailed review of all adjustments and schedules
• Continual review and improvement of accounting policies, documentation, procedures and controls
• Management, coaching and development of accounting staff, including hiring and team building
• Partner with internal and external stakeholders regarding important transactions and payments
• Preparation of ad hoc reporting for senior management including variance analysis and status reports
• Provide analysis and periodic reporting on specific vendor and customer transactions

The successful candidate will possess the following:
• Chartered Professional Accountant designation (CPA)
• 5-10 years of relevant accounting experience (public practice and/or industry)
• Leadership experience managing staff and overseeing accounting operations
• Strong problem solving and stakeholder engagement
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Technical knowledge under IFRS and/or ASPE
