We are recruiting on behalf of a reputable developer of marquee real estate projects, currently seeking a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) to report directly to the CFO and take on some senior-level responsibilities in this role.

Key responsibilities and oversight:

• Leading the project accounting function including month-end, financial and management reporting
• Collaborate with development partners to facilitate required approvals, documentation, or reporting
• Prepare year-end financial reports for annual financial statements, tax filings, and external auditors
• Review monthly budget and job cost reporting, cash management, capital calls
• Partner with external stakeholders in coordinate, reviewing and analyzing monthly construction progress
• Oversee completion and delivery of all statutory reporting requirements including GST/HST filings
• Respond to inquires from vendors and ensure accuracy of construction progress billing
• Monitor cash position of projects and coordinate release of payments to vendors

The successful candidate will possess the following:

• Chartered Professional Accountant designation trained at a major public accounting firm
• 4+ years of progressive experience including strong experience of companies in the Real Estate sector
• Experience at the Senior Accountant or Manager level
