We are recruiting on behalf of a well-respected and established organization located along the subway line in Toronto, currently seeking a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) with 5+ years of relevant experience from public accounting and currently at Manager level.

Key responsibilities and oversight:
• Responsible for financial reporting and analysis for several assigned business segments
• Partner with operations on financial analysis, capital budgeting and quarterly forecasting
• Ownership of financial reporting deliverables to management and the board members
• Lead the analysis of results with a focus on improving the quality of information delivered
• Communicate with accounting teams to provide technical research and analysis support
• Lead multiple initiatives to support the strategy of becoming a data-driven organization
• Work closely with key stakeholders on various initiatives, projects, and ad hoc analysis
• Contribute to process reengineering and automation of accounting/finance tasks with data tools
• Coach, mentor and develop senior accounting staff

The successful candidate will possess the following:
• Chartered Professional Accountant designation (CPA)
• 5-8 years of progressive experience from public accounting (audit or advisory)
• Commitment to continuous improvement and executing change
• Leadership experience managing accounting professionals
• Well-developed analytical skills and Excel proficiency
• Strong accounting skills under IFRS and ASPE
