We are recruiting on behalf of a growing mid-size public company located downtown Toronto, currently seeking a recently qualified Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) at the Manager level with strong technical accounting and leadership experience to join their high-calibre finance team!

Key responsibilities and oversight:
• Review and preparation of quarterly and annual reports including financial statements and MD&A
• Ensure integrity and completeness of financial records for development and operating assets
• Maintenance of asset and corporate valuations models; work with business analysts on inputs
• Coordinate and prepare reporting for debt covenants and lender reporting requirements
• Support treasury processes for cash management and forecasting for corporate entities
• Work with business analysts on business planning, forecasting and financial modelling
• Prepare variance analysis, related commentary and other management reporting
• Assist with drafting deliverables for the Audit Committee and Board of Directors
• Conduct research and document accounting issues related to transactions
• Assist with the financial integration of newly acquired businesses
• Lead complex accounting assessment for business expansion

The successful candidate will possess the following:
• Chartered Professional Accountant designation (CPA)
• 5-8 years of experience in public company audit and/or financial reporting
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
• Experience with complex accounting issues under IFRS and/or US GAAP
• High commitment level, work ethic, flexibility, and attention to detail
• Well-developed leadership and project management experience
• Advanced Excel proficiency and strong analytical skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
