We are recruiting on behalf of a brand name company located close to major highways and offering a hybrid/predominantly “from home” work pattern. They are currently seeking an experienced Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA-CA or CPA) with strong IFRS knowledge and leadership experience.

Key responsibilities and oversight:

• Ensure smooth and efficient execution of BU month end close and related deliverables
• Managing and coaching of your team including development of CPA trainees
• Develop and maintain a dasboard of relevant Key Performance Indicators
• Provide ad hoc financial reports and analysis to allow evaluation of company BU performance
• Ensure transactions are compliant with IFRS accounting standards
• Monitor compliance with internal controls, recommending improvements when appropriate

The successful candidate will possess the following:

• Designated Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA-CA or CPA), qualified at a top 6 accounting firm
• 5+ years of progressive experience including a minimum of 1 year coaching/leading a team
• Practical knowledge of accounting/reporting in an IFRS environment
• Proven experience in problem-solving and innovation including process improvements
• Previous public company experience is an asset
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
