Key responsibilities and oversight:

• Oversee the execution of BU month end close and related deliverables
• Operate as the Controller’s “right hand”, partnering with them on major initiatives
• Drive automation of processes, improve utilisation of systems act as a key finance stakeholder in ERP implementation
• Develop productive relationships across other BU finance teams to ensure effective communication
• Ensure transactions are compliant with IFRS accounting standards
• Monitor compliance with internal controls, recommending improvements when appropriate

The successful candidate will possess the following:

• Designated Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA-CA or CPA), qualified at a top 6 accounting firm
• 7+ years of progressive experience including a minimum of 3 years coaching/leading a team
• Practical experience of accounting deliverables in industry, ideally in a large scale/public company/IFRS environment
• Proven experience in problem-solving and innovation including process improvements
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
