We are recruiting on behalf of a market-leading, brand name company located close to Pearson airport/407 in the West GTA. They are currently seeking an experienced Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA-CA or CPA) with strong IFRS knowledge and leadership experience.

Key responsibilities and oversight:
-  Oversee a team responsible for smooth execution of deliverables
-  Ensure an accurate and timely completion of month end, quarter end and year end
-  Oversee efficient completion of periodic financial results for financial reporting purposes
-  Monitor financial policies and standards to ensure effective compliance with IFRS
-  Develop strong internal and external relationships including training, coaching and development of staff
-  Drive automation of processes, improve utilisation of systems act as a key finance stakeholder in ERP implementation
-  Provide advice and insight to support operational initiatives
-  Support growth initiatives including acquisition integration

The successful candidate will possess the following:
-  Designated Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA-CA or CPA), qualified at a top 6 accounting firm
-  6+ years of progressive experience including a minimum of 2 years coaching/leading a team
-  Practical knowledge of accounting/reporting in an IFRS environment
-  Proven experience in problem-solving and innovation including process improvements
-  Previous public company experience is an asset
-  Excellent written and verbal communication skills
