We are recruiting on behalf of a “Top Employer” located in the downtown core. They are currently seeking a progressive Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) to join one of their business units with the largest growth in emerging markets, responsible for various operating businesses, contributing to financial and regulatory reporting including complex analysis and financial cases driving new business development opportunities.

Key responsibilities and oversight:
• Support capital requirements, analysis and financial cases for business development opportunities
• Manage the CIRO regulatory reporting, monthly financial reporting (MFR), Year-end Form 1 compliance
• Lead complex financial economic analysis, deliver accurate forecasts using strong data tools
• Research, document, implement control policies and procedures for all finance staff.
• Full responsibility for business planning, intercompany reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
• Partner with business and finance across the organization relating to workflow initiatives

The successful candidate will possess the following:
• Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation
• 4+ years of total work experience including relevant sector experience
• Aptitude for technology and optimization of reports using PowerPoint and VBA for executive audiences
• Ability to balance technical work with strategic thinking and effective business consultant and advisory
• Advanced analytical and modeling skills for business cases to influence decision making
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
