We are currently recruiting for a newly created position with a growth-oriented specialist in their industry. If you’re a recently qualified Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) coming from a large accounting firm and are ready for your next challenge, this is an incredible opportunity to elevate your career!
Key responsibilities and oversight:
• Lead integration efforts for new acquisitions and provide operational finance support for special projects
• Prepare opening balance sheet and purchase price allocation as part of integrating new acquisitions
• Work closely with senior management to make critical operating decisions and analysis of key details
• Develop plans to identify gaps and bring accounting processes of acquisition businesses up to standards
• Create analysis for leadership to making decisions and enable return on investments from acquisitions
• Play a key role in the quarter-end close process, ensuring the group meets its deadlines and deliverables
• Collaborate with the business on ad-hoc financial reporting including target subject deep dives
• Provide meaningful insights, define key risks and improvement areas for financial reporting processes
• Prepare monthly P&L balance sheet reports and provide value-added analysis and commentary
• Assist with the consolidation of company results and disclosures for management and parent company
The company is offering a competitive compensation package for this level including an attractive base salary and annual bonus program. Full remuneration details will be disclosed to all candidates under consideration.
The successful candidate will possess the following:
• Chartered Professional Accountant designation (completed CPA requirements)
• 3+ years of progressive experience in public accounting
• Experience auditing companies reporting under IFRS and/or ASPE
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong technical skills including acquisition accounting
