We are recruiting on behalf of a leader in their industry located Downtown Toronto. They are currently seeking a recently qualified Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) from a large accounting firm for this newly created position due to growth in this group.

Key responsibilities and oversight:
• Assist with M&A due diligence activities and post-integration support
• Participate in ad hoc projects related to business initiatives focused on driving growth
• Business partner with portfolio companies and provide financial guidance to senior leadership
• Management reporting including presentation of consolidated forecasts and variance analysis
• Assist with complex accounting issues related to acquisition activities and global reporting
• Utilize financial modelling to perform analytical reviews and measure business performance
• Coordinate with portfolio businesses for quarterly and annual financial reporting requirements

The successful candidate will possess the following:
• Chartered Professional Accountant designation ( completed CPA requirements)
• 3+ years of progressive experience in public accounting
• Experience auditing public companies under IFRS
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical skills and Excel proficiency
• Acquisition accounting experience is an asset
