We are recruiting on behalf of a high growth company located in Markham (two days per week in office) currently seeking a newly qualified Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA-CA or CPA) looking to exit a major public accounting firm.

Key responsibilities and oversight:

• Supervise a team of 2 ensuring their ongoing development through coaching and mentorship
• Oversee/review of month end activities and periodic reporting packages including analysis of company results
• Support leadership across a number of entities through business partnering, provide value add insight and advice
• Review complex accounting transactions and provide an explanation on the appropriate interpretation ensuring compliance with IFRS
• Assist in the integration of acquisitions ensuring they’re effectively incorporated into existing processes and procedures
• Develop presentations and commentary to showcase financial performance for senior management

The company is offering a lucrative compensation package for this level including an attractive base salary, annual bonus plus other benefits. Full remuneration details will be disclosed to all candidates under consideration.

The successful candidate will possess the following:

• Chartered Professional Accountant designation (CPA-CA or CPA)
• 3+ years of progressive experience with a major public accounting firm
• Strong technical skills and knowledge of IFRS including familiarity with IFRS 15/revenue recognition
• Experience with Great Plains would be an advantage
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
