We are recruiting for a well-known company conveniently located near major highways and offering a hybrid work model with a predominantly remote setup. They are seeking an experienced Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA-CA or CPA) with strong IFRS knowledge and leadership experience

Key responsibilities and oversight:

• Prepare quarterly/annual external IFRS financial statements, MD&A, press releases, AIF, and annual reports.
• Manage the external reporting schedule and support the preparation of MIC and Sustainability Report.
• Prepare Audit Committee presentation materials.
• Collaborate with auditors and internal teams on reviews and audits.
• Liaise with legal and investor relations teams on compliance items.
• Research and document accounting issues related to complex transactions.
• Provide guidance on accounting policies and assist with implementation.
• Review and improve existing controls and processes.
  Manage special projects and support M&A activities as needed.

The successful candidate will possess the following:

• Undergraduate degree in Business with a specialization in Accounting.
• CPA designation - qualified at a major pbulic accounting firm.
• 7+ years of progressive experience (all public accounting or public accounting+industry will be considered).
• In-depth knowledge of IFRS.
• Experience managing direct reports.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.
• Ability to work independently and lead projects.
