The Director, Corporate Accounting & Reporting is a critical leadership role within the Corporate Accounting department. You’ll oversee consolidated financial reporting, manage the monthly close for subsidiaries, navigate complex technical accounting issues, lead tax compliance and governance, and play a key role in M&A integrations and process improvements. What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close and consolidation processes for subsidiaries and corporate entities under IFRS
- Oversee preparation of consolidated financial statements, MD&A, and quarterly reporting to the parent company
- Manage relationships with external auditors to ensure timely, accurate completion of audits
- Provide guidance on technical accounting matters, policy changes, and the impact of new accounting pronouncement
- Ensure strong governance and internal controls, continuously improving processes and efficiencies
- Partner with business unit finance teams to analyse financial performance and provide insights on variances and trends
- Lead integration of newly acquired subsidiaries and contribute to special projects, including ERP implementation
What You Bring
- CPA designation with 8+ years of progressive experience, ideally starting in a Big 4 or similar public accounting environment
- Post public accounting leadership experience in the corporate accounting/reporting function of a large, complex, multi-entity organisation
- In-depth IFRS knowledge; US GAAP exposure an asset
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to guide and develop high-performing teams
- Experience managing consolidations, technical accounting issues, and external reporting for complex entities
- Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilities
- Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to balance detail orientation with big-picture strategic thinking
