We are recruiting on behalf of a Company currently building their team with a finance leader who can support, coach, develop, and inspire to maintain a great working climate. They are seeking a designated Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) for this newly created role that provides excellent mentorship from above and exposure to business leaders in Canada and abroad.

Key responsibilities and oversight:
• Full ownership of all financial reporting, including the monthly financial close and quarterly reviews
• Lead and manage the accounting function including financial process & control improvements
• Oversee of accounting operations, internal controls, and compliance with company policies and all relevant regulatory requirements
• Participate in strategic planning and financial analysis for key business initiatives and performance
• Develop a strong finance function with an emphasis on succession planning and preparing others for increased responsibility and growth
• Provide support to other finance functions including Treasury, Payroll and Corporate Tax
• Lead various projects as assigned

The successful candidate will possess the following:
• Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation
• 7+ years of total work experience including CPA qualification pathway
• 2+ years leading a team of direct reports, including coaching and development
• Aptitude for translating quantitative data into value-added analysis and recommendations
• Ability to work independently and in a team, environment supporting changing priorities
• Strong Excel proficiency including financial modelling skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication
