We are recruiting on behalf of a rapidly scaling FinTech business within a publicly listed parent. Due to rapid growth the company is hiring its first Director of Finance — someone who can operate as the finance lead, build structure, and elevate reporting, forecasting, controls, and decision support.

The Opportunity

As Director of Finance, you will:

- Take full ownership of finance and accounting for the business (FP&A, reporting, controls, treasury)
- Transition responsibilities from a shared services group and build a small, high-performing team)
- Work directly with the CEO and sit at the leadership table
- Be both strategic and hands-on — ideal for someone who wants impact, influence, and visibility
- Support M&A due-diligence, revenue growth initiatives, commercial negotiations, and pricing
This is not a “keep the lights on” finance role — you will build, improve, challenge, influence, and scale.

What You’ll Lead

- Financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, dashboards/KPIs
- Internal controls, audit readiness, tax compliance, cash/treasury management
ERP systems transition
- Capital allocation and commercial risk assessment on contract terms
- Executive-level decision support, including modelling and scenario planning

Required Background

- CPA designated candidates trained a major public accounting firm
- 8+ total years progressive finance experience with strong technical accounting (IFRS) and  FP&A exposure and 3+ years in leadership roles
- Experience in FinTech, payments, software/SaaS, payments is an asset
- Strong presence and ability to influence senior leadership — peer with other finance heads
