This is a hands‑on role with real leadership impact. While technical depth is essential, success in this position is defined by influence, judgment, and the ability to partner at the highest levels of the organization.
You’ll step into a high‑visibility finance leadership role, partnering directly with the CFO and working closely with the C‑suite, Board, and key external stakeholders including experts in capital markets, tax, treasury, legal counsel, lenders, and the TSX/TMX. The Toronto office further enhances this exposure, offering access to a highly connected executive and board‑level network.
Key Priorities & Responsibilities
AI Governance & Execution
- Help design and implement an AI governance framework for the organization.
- Partner with business leaders to move from policy to practical execution, ensuring AI initiatives are used responsibly, efficiently, and in line with regulatory and risk expectations.
- Identify opportunities to apply AI and automation to improve reporting, controls, and finance operations.
Financial Leadership & Breadth
- Lead public company financial reporting, ensuring IFRS compliance and high‑quality disclosures.
- Oversee accounting and reporting for complex financial instruments, including derivatives and hedging.
- Support FP&A, forecasting, and analytical initiatives tied to growth and capital allocation.
- Remain comfortable operating at both a strategic level and within core finance fundamentals, as required.

Key attributes of the ideal candidate:
- CPA designation with public company reporting experience
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and complex accounting topics
- Comfort operating independently while partnering with senior leadership
- Exposure to or strong curiosity around AI, automation, and governance frameworks
- Ability to move fluidly between strategic thinking and hands‑on execution
- Polished communicator with confidence engaging internal and external experts
