We are recruiting on behalf of a NYSE-listed public company in a high-demand industry, located in the Toronto area. The organization is well-established, growing through acquisitions, and positioned as a progressive leader in their sector. Their operations serve a broad spectrum of markets, with a robust distribution network across North America and a diverse product portfolio.
The employer is seeking a motivated and career-focused Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) with proven experience in financial planning and analysis to join their business unit finance team as a Manager, FP&A. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, supporting ongoing strategic initiatives in a diversified role, with a strong technical background in a goods-producing sector.
Key responsibilities and oversight:
• Financial Modeling & Forecasting: Maintain and update weekly forecasting models in Excel and Google Sheets, ensuring accurate consolidations and reporting across business units, regions, and markets.
• Month-End & Quarter-End Reporting: Support month-end and quarter-end close activities, delivering accurate financial results within strict deadlines.
• Reporting & Analysis: Adapt reporting processes to meet changing business needs and develop new reports and dashboards as required.
• Financial Insights & Storytelling: Analyze financial results, identify key business drivers and trends, and provide clear commentary and insights for management reporting.
• Process Improvement & Automation: Use technology and AI tools to streamline reporting, automate checks, improve efficiency, and reduce manual work.
• Collaboration & Team Support: Work independently while collaborating closely with team members to support department goals and assist during peak reporting periods.
• Ad-Hoc Analysis: Provide financial analysis, reporting, and decision-support for FP&A and business stakeholders as needed.
• Corporate FP&A & Investor Relations Support: Partner with Corporate FP&A and Investor Relations teams to provide financial data, variance analyses, and commentary for earnings releases and external reporting requirements.
The Company is offering a strong compensation package including an attractive base salary, and a strong annual performance bonus. Full remuneration details will be disclosed to all candidates under consideration.
The successful candidate will possess the following:
• Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation completed.
• 5-10 years of progressive finance and accounting experience.
• 2+ years of relevant financial planning and analysis experience.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling.
• Strong analytical skills with a focus on accuracy and detail.
• Ability to produce high-quality work under tight deadlines.
• Motivated, career-oriented, and comfortable with a dynamic work environment.
• Experience in a product-based industry, producing or distributing tangible goods.
