We are recruiting on behalf of Canadian public company, recognised as a Top Employer, a brand name market leader. The company are based downtown Toronto and offer the freedom to work from home 4 days per week.

The ideal profile is a recently qualified Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA-CA or CPA) from a major public accounting firm OR a candidate with a similar level of industry experience in financial reporting.

Key responsibilities and oversight:
- Provide QE and YE financial results including statements and related commentary and analysis for SLT review
- Collate and analyse monthly results from across the business. Provide insight and tangible recommendations.
- Perform research and provide recommendations on the application and interpretation of new technical accounting issues and complex transactions
- Support strategic projects across operations including working with BU leaders to support innovation and improvements
- Supports the Director and SLT as required with any ad hoc analytical requests
tangible recommendations.

The successful candidate will possess the following:
- Chartered Professional Accountant designation (CPA-CA or CPA)
- 3+ years of progressive experience from a large public accounting firm, or industry financial reporting experience
- Familiarity with IFRS accounting standards
- Strong communication skills and the ability to develop productive relationships
