This is an exciting opportunity for a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) who thrives as a Leader in an evolving environment supporting ongoing integration projects, process improvement, and strategic initiatives. Key responsibilities and oversight:
• Lead the preparation and review of quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS for a publicly traded company.
• Oversee and mentor a team of four finance professionals, including newly qualified CPAs.
• Manage the integration and consolidation of financial data following acquisitions, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance.
• Drive the transition from ASPE to IFRS standards, including systems upgrades and process improvements, various implementation projects.
• Collaborate with external auditors to ensure timely and compliant audit processes.
• Support and develop including maintain internal controls related to financial reporting.
The Company is offering a strong compensation package including an attractive base salary, and an annual performance bonus. Full remuneration details will be disclosed to all candidates under consideration.
The successful candidate will possess the following:
• CPA designation with proven experience in public company financial reporting with a Minimum of two years in a leadership role.
• Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and experience with financial systems implementations.
• Demonstrated leadership skills, capable of managing and developing a team.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growing environment, supporting ongoing process improvements and various projects.
• Experience supporting acquisitions and integration projects is a plus.
• Knowledge of Canadian public markets and compliance requirements.
